- Michael, the current African Rally Champion 2 2024 title holder started his motor racing career in 2021 as a route opener in the Kasanda rally in Mityana.
- Just 11 months into his rookie year, he emerged the 1st Runner up both Autocross Sprint Championship and Clubman Rally Championship for the year 2022.
- Subsequently in the same year, because of his passion, dedication and skillset, he powered his Prodrive Subaru N12 to be crowned both the National Autocross Sprint Champion and National Sprint Rally Champion.
- In 2023, he took a sabbatical and made a comeback in 2024 with a bang and better car, an Subaru N14 with a special focus on the continental African Rally Championship.
- This year, with a rather inferior car compared to other African drivers, his zeal and meticulous driving style made him rise above the park, clinching the most sought for international ARC2 title on the continent, that he current holds.
- It is key to note that Michael is the second Ugandan after the Late iconic Charles Muhangi to win the ARC2 title, in a record 3 years of rallying.
